Lapayowker Jet Counsel and Aviation Legal Group Join to Form Lapayowker Burgess LLP
“Scott and I have a unique, shared experience in business aviation law and have worked together on common clients and on the opposite sides of complex business aviation transactions for years,” said Lapayowker. “Merging the two successful practices made perfect sense. Combining our experience in cross-border aviation transactions and aviation-related litigation with Stewart’s existing national and international practice base will give the firm greater depth and wider market appeal,” said Burgess.
The new firm will be located at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, with an address of 5360 N.W. 20th Terrace Suite 205, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The attorneys at Lapayowker Burgess will continue their focus on business aviation transactions worldwide, throughout the United States, the European Union, Central and South America, the African Continent, Asia and the Middle East. The legal team assists the firm’s clients with a variety of transactional and litigation matters related to aviation, including the sale, purchase, regulatory analysis, financing and management of corporate aircraft. The firm’s attorneys have extensive experience working with legal and tax departments of large public companies as well as private aircraft owners, helping design and implement the appropriate planning objectives and operating structures.
