Operation Jersey Cares continues to support all currently deployed veterans and loyal military families. The organization assists veterans and their families transition back into civilian life. Operation Jersey Cares was founded in 2001. This organization is a New Jersey and IRS 501(c)(3), for those wishing to donate. As discussed on the podcast, Operation Jersey Cares has gathered items and packed and shipped well over 1,000,000 pounds of care packages to deployed service women and men. Shipments are sent weekly by volunteers who pay this service forward by sourcing cash donations, grants and goods-in-kind from corporate sponsors, patriotic Americans, community partners and veteran’s groups.
Operation Jersey Cares volunteers also support homeless veterans, military families in need, Veterans in Transitional Housing and wounded service members in VA hospital nationwide. They also focus on fundraising to meet their annual goals.
