Terms
Granting or Receiving Permissions to or by Agencies and Third Parties Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ability to give or receive access to an agency or receive access permissions as an agency or third party within your Law Firm Newswire (“LFN”) account. By enabling this feature, you (“you,” “your,” the “agency,” or the “Law Firm”) agree to these Terms.
1. Overview
The ability to give Agency access allows a Law Firm to link its Law Firm Newswire account with an external agency, such as a marketing or public relations firm (“Agency”). Once access is granted, the Agency may submit press releases, news items, or other content on the Law Firm’s behalf via the Law Firm Newswire platform.
2. Law Firm Responsibility
By enabling Agency access, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for all content submitted through your account, including content submitted by any connected Agency.
- You have the ability to disconnect an Agency at any time through your account settings.
- You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content submitted on your behalf before or after submission.
- The Law Firm is fully responsible for ensuring the accuracy, appropriateness, and legal compliance of any content submitted by the Agency.
All submissions made via the agency and third party access feature are treated as if submitted directly by the Law Firm.
3. Agency Responsibilities
If you are an Agency granted access to a Law Firm’s account via this feature, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- You may only submit content that has been explicitly approved by the Law Firm you represent.
- You are acting on behalf of the Law Firm, and all submissions will be treated as if submitted by the Law Firm itself.
- You must ensure that all content is accurate, non-deceptive, and in compliance with applicable advertising, ethics, and legal rules governing law firms.
- You may not submit content for any law firm without their express permission or authorization.
- You must cooperate fully with the Law Firm in the event that edits, corrections, or clarifications are needed after submission.
- You understand that Law Firm Newswire is not responsible for verifying your authority or the accuracy of your submissions.
Violation of these responsibilities may result in the removal of your access to an account, content rejection, or account restrictions.
4. Attorney Advertising Notice
Press releases and content submitted through Law Firm Newswire may constitute attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. It is the Law Firm’s responsibility to ensure compliance with applicable ethical rules and advertising regulations in all relevant jurisdictions.
LFN does not provide legal advice or confirm whether submitted content constitutes attorney advertising.
5. Content Distribution and Limitations
Law Firm Newswire distributes published press releases to multiple websites, news aggregators, and third-party platforms.
Important:
Once a press release is published:
- It may be indexed or archived by third-party sites beyond the control of Law Firm Newswire.
- Edits, retractions, or removals are not guaranteed across all platforms or websites where the press release may appear.
- Edits made to a published press release may not propagate to external platforms, aggregators, or search engines.
You acknowledge and accept the permanent and wide-reaching nature of press release publication through LFN.
For more details, refer to our Disclaimer.
6. Editorial Oversight
LFN may, but is not obligated to, review or edit submissions for clarity, formatting, or alignment with editorial standards. Such editorial input does not shift responsibility away from the Law Firm, which remains solely accountable for content accuracy and legal compliance.
Please review our PR Editorial Guidelines for submission standards.
7. Disconnection and Termination
The Law Firm may revoke agency or third party access at any time via its Law Firm Newswire account. Once disconnected, the Agency will no longer have permission to submit or edit content on the Law Firm’s behalf.
LFN reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to this feature at its sole discretion for any reason, including abuse or violations of these Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
You agree that Law Firm Newswire is not liable for any loss, damage, or claims arising from:
- Content submitted by a connected Agency,
- Any failure to comply with legal, ethical, or advertising standards,
- Distribution, publication, or non-removal of content by third-party platforms.
- The use of Law Firm Newswire’s platform or services.
See our Disclaimer for more details.
9. Changes to These Terms
LFN may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of this feature after changes constitute your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Incorporated Policies
These Terms incorporate the following policies by reference:
By granting or accepting Agency access, both the Law Firm and the Agency confirm that they have read and agree to these Terms and all applicable policies.
